I received this amp recently because I wanted to be able to power my AKG 701's to their fullest extent. Previously using just the DAC Destroyer the phones were just not loud enough for my liking. After plugging this amp in not only did the headphones go to ear bleeding volumes but they were sonically improved beyond what I thought was possible. When the amp is described as having a "great bottom end" it really does. My cans responded immediately with more punchy bass and detailed midrange and sparkling highs. Yes all of those were there before, but with the TPA6120a2 everything was improved. A great amp for anyone looking for a little more punch in their system.
